Bringing Pride to Merthyr: How Green Room Power Helped Organise the Town’s First Pride Event
When Nathan Roberts decided to organise Merthyr Town’s first ever Pride event, he knew he needed help executing his vision. With no previous experience planning large-scale events, Nathan turned to Green Room Power’s expertise in staging, lighting and sound.
Despite never having worked together before, our team quickly grasped Nathan’s goals for Merthyr Pride. We provided an outdoor stage complete with professional lighting and sound equipment to give performers a platform to share their messages of inclusion. Knowing power access would be limited, we also supplied a generator to power both the stage and vendor stalls.
On the day of the event, our crew efficiently set up the 7m x 5m stage and prepped the audio and lighting systems in just two hours. Throughout the celebrations, we closely monitored equipment and made adjustments so performances went off without a hitch. By providing Nathan with robust gear and experienced technicians, we enabled him to host a smooth running, vibrant event that went beyond his expectations.
